Israeli startup Trigo has raised $100 million in a funding round led by Singapore's Temasek and venture capital firm 83North. Trigo develops technology for cashier-free, "just walk out" shopping experiences similar to Amazon Go stores. The company's clients include grocery retailers such as Tesco, REWE, ALDI Nord, and Wakefern. Trigo plans to use the funding to expand its engagement with existing clients and add new retailers to its roster. The company's technology combines computer vision, machine learning, and AI algorithms to enable autonomous check-out experiences. Trigo also offers inventory management and plans to launch StoreOS, a platform that integrates analytics, marketing, and other tools to help retailers connect their physical and online stores. SAP, a strategic backer, aims to integrate Trigo's technology into its retail software solutions. Trigo's latest funding brings its total raised to nearly $300 million.
