Tel Aviv-based company Velocity has secured $17 million in a series A funding round led by Insight Partners, with participation from Hetz, Greycroft, and individual investors. Velocity offers a cloud-powered environment that enables software developers to create production-like environments on-demand, expediting product delivery. Developers can work locally with cloud access to dependencies and program across multiple app features in parallel. The funding will be used to establish a U.S. office suite and expand the team, particularly in the executive and research and development areas. Velocity, founded in 2020, aims to address the challenges faced by companies wanting to develop and test software in a production-like environment but lacking the necessary resources.
