Act Security
Cloud has Outgrown Reactive Security

Act Security is building a security platform purpose-built for the cloud infrastructure and data centers that run modern enterprises. As workloads, data, and AI pipelines consolidate into a shrinking set of high-value environments, the attack surface those environments create has outpaced the tooling designed to defend them. Act is tackling that gap with a platform that treats cloud infrastructure and the data center as a single, coherent security problem rather than a collection of point products.

The company was founded in 2025 by Jonathan Langer (CEO), Itay Kirshenbaum (CTO), Stephen Goldberg (CPO), and Ilai Fallach (Chief R&D Officer). Langer and Kirshenbaum previously co-founded Medigate in 2017, with Goldberg joining as one of the company's earliest employees. Medigate built a category-defining platform for medical device and IoMT security, protecting the monitors, CT scanners, and infusion pumps that sit on hospital networks but fall outside the reach of generic security tools. The company was acquired by Claroty in 2021 for approximately $400 million. At Act, the founding team is applying the same instinct for identifying mission-critical infrastructure that conventional security has overlooked, this time at the heart of the cloud and data center stack.
